Presentation In general, sewage disposal includes wastewater and/or rainwater collection (via the public sewer network which is called: unitary if both types of effluents are mixed or separate if they are collected in a different way) and the treatment in water purification station. In that case, there is a collective sewage disposal (local or of the joint commission according to which structure the facilities belong to). As regards collective sewage disposal, SEMERAP operates for new works (service pipes, networks extensions) as well as in maintenance, as part of contracts, on the intercommunalities’ behalf. The company also operates in maintenance on the private part of networks or on the individual sewage disposal (emptying of tanks…), on the private individuals’ behalf (in that case, the services are directly paid by the consumer).
