Equipped with several road sweepers (small or big models), SEMERAP provides the public roads sweeping (roads and motorways) and car parks. Public roads At the Local Authorities’ request, the company operates either through annual contracts of maintenance, or punctually, to sweep streets and other public spaces. Before any operation, a schedule is drawn up. Like this, it allows everyone (local councillors, local-government services but also inhabitants) to know exactly when the road sweeper will come and in which street… All SEMERAP’s road sweepers are equipped with GPS, so that they can know, in real time, exactly where they are. If necessary, it allows them to operate, at short notice, in a particularly reactive way. In 2003, more than 5 000 km of public roads have been swept by SEMERAP’s vehicles. Car Parks The company also maintains car parks, notably for shopping centres, and, generally speaking, for other businesses. (Picture road sweeper on shopping car park).
